Why should we not connect a heater and a bulb in series?

Becaus haet is produced by bulb and heater both . If both are in a series it may lead to short circuit or mealting of wires

In series current remains same voltage divided according the residence of the appliance. Now when you put electric bulb and a heater in series then it will divided the voltage which ultimately divided the power double as power as P(Power)=V2/R where V is voltage if V reduce one fold power will reduce 2
