ANSWER

Because law enforcement officers are merely doing their jobs. All stops made by police are not personnel, they are required by law to intervene when they witness dangerous behavior. When stopped majoritity of people feel embarrassed because they got caught. If you get offended when stopped and your behavior reflects it openly to the officer. There’s is a much higher chance you are not going to get a break, as officer discretion for traffic related offense are up to them if a citation is written. Overall, try and be calm, cool, and respectful when stopped to make your life and the officer’s life as easy as possible. You might even get out of the citation.
