The main reason stagnant water should not be allowed to be collectedin the neighborhood is that of the breeding ground it would soon become for harmful mosquitoes that might spread deadly diseases like dengue. Moreover many bacteria, virus also grown and create diseases.

because mosquitos breed on it which causes many diseases like malaria.
