because if we over water potted plants and It results in the water logging of the soil which results in exhaustion of soil

Leaves of a plant take in oxygen from the air present in the atmosphere. While, the roots, being buried in the soil, take in oxygen from the air present in tiny spaces of the soil. ... Thus, we should always try to supply adequate water to the potted plants and not overwater them.
