Used tea leaves will clog the sink mouth and obstruct flow of water into outlet pipe. If used tea leaves get into the pipe, it will clog the pipeline, which then calls for plumbing repair or even replacement of that segment of pipeline.
Cooking oil and fats coagulate and form a white rubbery mass. It will block the drain pipe completely and cause water to stagnate and eventually overflow. The rubbery mass has to be removed for free flow of drain water.
