Why should we not touch the electrical appliances with wet hands if pure water cannot conduct electricity

Our body is good conductor of electricity , current can easily pass through our body but if we use any insulator for roughing the electrical appliances then we can be protect by current but if we touch it with our wet hands then current can easily pass the our body becoz water is also a good conductor of electricity
