why should we not use the lift during an earthquake?

if we are in lift during the earthquake we have no chance for run away to go safety place if we in lift this is dangerous

When an earthquake shook the place we should not enter a lift it is because there we have only small percentage to save our life vice versaif the lift is jammed or things like that we would be in a awkward situation.
