ANSWER

Synthetic clothes contain fibres which melt on heating. We work with fire or heating appliances in kitchen and laboratory (Bunsen burner, etc.). If the clothes catch fire, the fibres melt and stick to body of person. So, we must not wear synthetic clothes while working in kitchen or laboratory.
