Answer:

As the Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 continues to unfold in St. John’s, we want you to know that The Gathering Place is taking all precautionary measures possible. We are following a coordinated community response from the Department of Health, Eastern Health and continuing to collaborate with our community partners to ensure appropriate health and safety measures for everyone who interacts with The Gathering Place.

The well-being of the Guests, as well as volunteers, partners and employees who continue to provide exceptional support to a marginalized population, is our priority.

Due to the rapidly changing nature of COVID-19, and the vulnerable population that need our services, we will not be able to accept in-kind donations in person or welcome visitors to our centre until further notice.

More than ever, we are grateful for your monetary donations as we have to purchase much needed supplies and food during this difficult time.

forms of writing because it is intended for a specific reader. A letter is written when something

has to be conveyed to someone sitting far away. Writing requires imagination, creativity,
