Why should we use boiling tube to boil the leaf instead of test tube

As alcohol is flammable, burning the boiling tube containing the leaf with alcohol directly on the flame causes danger.

NOTE:

Alcohol is known as ethanol.

The boiling point of Ethanol is 78° C which is highly flammable.
