We should all use all energy economically and wisely. There is no good reason to waste energy in all forms - hydrocarbons, firewood or human muscle. Humanity has always been good at over using energy but it is high time to educate everyone on the negatives of such action.

Wasting electricity regardless of the generation source, simply heats up the environment wherever it is. Wasting hydrocarbons basically burns money and wasting forest land destroys natural environments.

Education on the caretaking of who we are, where we live, how we live and what the future may bring becomes more important every day.

Recycle, reuse, reduce.
