The correct order of worship emphasised while visiting Tirumala temple is, first taking bath at pushkar ghat, then visiting temple of Varaha Swamy before going for darshan of Lord Venkateswara or Srinivasa. Thereafter by collecting “laddu prasadams” your worship at Tirumala temple is over.
In case you are to tonsure your head, you must finish it first and then take bath either at the same place “Kalyana Katta” or Pushkar Ghat and then follow the others in order.
When you come down to Tirupati back from Tirumala, you are to visit Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple at Tiruchanur, the wife of Lord Srini ASA or Lord Venkateswara or Lord Balaji., which is situated seven kilometres from Tirupati. There ends wholesome worship of Tirumala pilgrimage. Tirupati forms the base centre for reaching to Tirumala and Tiruchanur.
Thus, Tirumala-Tirupat-Tiruchanur are considered the most sacred complex of Sri Vishnavite tradition of Hindu religion.
