We should not try to wash off a turmeric stain on our clothes with soap because soap is base.

So, coming in contact with soap, the yellow stain of turmeric which is acidic and neutral can change into red colour.

It can be soaked in vinegar or baking soda so that the stain of turmeric gets faded away.
