why should you wait for about 30 seconds after you have filled the burette before titrating?

The funnel should be removed from the top of the burette to enable you to get an accurate reading. Keeping the funnel inside the burette means that the burette may be falsely making it seem as if there is a greater volume of the solution inside (because the tip will be hanging into the solution).❤️❤️

We should wait for about 30 seconds after we have filled the burette before titrating because -

• There are often air bubbles in the liquid which we filled in the burette.

By waiting for sometime,we can give time to bubbles for naturally rise up and get vanished from the filled length in the burette.

• Also,when we are filling the burette,there are chances of leftover liquid on the upper empty surface of the burette.

By waiting for sometime,we can give time to this leftover liquid for sliding down to the surface of the burette to be mixed with the main liquid length.
