Why SI system is considered superior to other systems?

SI stands for standard de international we know there are different systems but if we consider all different systems in all different regions there would be a chaos ,take example like you mother cooks at home if you ask your mother to cook pizza,your brother would ask to cook french fries,your grandfather asks to cook puri,then it would be a chaos for your mother to handle it.so only SI system is used
