only those metals can react with hydrochloric acid that are placed above hydrogen like potassium sodium iron etc. therefore silver and gold do not react with HCl however hno3 and HCl combined in a ratio of 3:1 can corrode highly stable metals like gold due to highly corrosive nature.

Silver and gold are less reactive metal as they are placed at lowest in the reactivity series . So , because of this reason , silver and gold do not react with acid .
