Singlet and triplet states get attention in organic materials (fluorescence, phosphorescence, upconversion). Why singlet/triplet states are never mentioned in the context of inorganic semiconductors, rare-earth materials etc.?

✔️✔️Singlet and triplet states are not mention when dealing with an organic semiconductors or other heavy materials because they are very soft and as well as very hard in organic semiconductors are categorised by strong electronelecton screening the relative Momentum is a good quantum number.Triplet state not play any role in the species actively..✔️✔️
