Why sky appear red at sun rise and sun set ???
SaquibJr:
During sunrise and sunset, the rays have to travel a larger part of the atmosphere because they are very close to the horizon. Therefore, light other than red is mostly scattered away. Most of the red light, which is the least scattered, enters our eyes. Hence, the sun and the sky appear red.

__________
Within the visible range of light, red light waves are scattered the least by atmospheric gas molecules. So at sunrise and sunset, when the sunlight travels a long path through the atmosphere to reach our eyes, the blue light has been mostly removed, leaving mostly red and yellow light remaining.

sky appears to be red in colour during sunrise and sunset because during sunrise and sunset the light had to travel a longer distance to the earth atmosphere from the sun and as red light has long wavelength so it scatters less and it is being seen as red
