Sky appears blue due to the scattering of UV radiation of the Sun.

from the sun 2 rays of different wavelength come one is longer which is red in color and these enter our eye and make sun appear as orange reddish in colour while other are short and r blue in color they don't reach us and scatter in sky making it appear blue
