Why sky appears red at the time of sun rise and sunset whereas it appears whit at noon?

This is because, during noon hours,the distance to be travelled by sun rays is less than that compared to morning and evening hours.Therefore all colours reach our eyes without scattering and hence it appears white during noon and red during sunrise and sunset because it scatters.
