why sn 4 positive is more stable

Sn4+ is more stable than Pb4+

It is due to inert pair effect that the stability of higher oxidation state decreased down the group..

Since Pb is the last member of Group 14 so the stability +4 oxidation state decreases…+2 oxidation is stable for Pb
