Why sodium and potassium are considered as metals even they are not sonorous?

being Sonorous is not the only property that determine a substance is metal or not.

The basic property of metal is to lose election and and Both sodium and potassium loose electron.

only metals have a power to loss the electron. Sodium and potassium are consider as a metal for this reason that it will lose the electron. This is one of the important property to differentiate between metals and non-metals.
