WHY SODIUM AND POTASSIUM ARE KEPT IMMERSED IN KEROSENE? GIVE REACTION OF SODIUM WITH AIR?

if they kept open they can burn and if they kept in water they can react with water so, they are kept in kerosene

They are highly reactive in air and can catch fire in air so they are kept in kerosene out of contact with air.
