Why sodium is more reactive then zinc

because it is placed above zinc in the reactivity series

sodium is more reactive than zinc because valency of sodium is +1 and it can give 1 electron whereas zinc valency is +2 and it needs to lose 2 electron. therefore it is less reactive than sodium
