Heya mate..

Sodium is kept in kerosine oil because it can. React with any metal and in moisture and can cause fire which is dangerous...

Sodium is a reactive metal . If it is kept open in air it will react with oxygen and burn.To prevent it it is kept immersed in kerosene oil.
