sodium is kept in kerosen because if sodium is kept in the contact of oxygen it catch fire rapidly
why not kept in other oils ?
because other oil are easily in contact of oxygen

sodium is kept in kersosene as it reacts vigorously with oxgen ( when exposed in air) no other oil is chosen as it contains a small amount of oxygen
