Why sodium stored in kerosene oil

Because sodium is a high reactive metal....which reacts very fast when came in contact with air or anything else

Sodium is very highly reactive . When it is exposed to air, it bursts into flames. So it is stored in kerosene oil so that it does not come in direct contact with air.
