Soil Texture:
- It is the physical structure of the soil which is due to size, proportion and arrangement of its constituents. There are three main types of soil textures:-Sandy soil, Clay soil and Loam soil.
- It is important because gives us the percentage of clay, sand and slit. For ex:- Clay soil has 40-50 % clay, 50-60% slit with little sand. It is a good quantity and has a high water holding capacity.
Soil pH:
- Soil pH measure whether the soil is acidic or alkaline. The minerals required for the crop to grow are taken through the soil.
- If the soil is too acidic or basic, crops and plants will not be able to grow properly. It may also cause toxicity in plants.
