  • We need to convert the solar rays into significant amount of heat energy for the proper operation of a solar cooker.
  • For this, we need to converge the solar rays into a single focal point which will gradually create the necessary heat energy.
  • Now, only the concave mirror has the capabilities to reflect the solar rays in such a way that it gets converged into a single focal point.
  • Convex mirror doesn't have such reflective properties and that's why convex mirrors are not used in the solar cooker.
