Why solid NACL doesn't not conduct electricity but solution of NACL conduct electricity​

First of all to conduct electricity a material should have free ions in it's atoms or say free electrons. Solid NaCl does not have free electrons or ions roaming here and there as it is densely packed. But the solution of NaCl has free ions in its liquid state. Therefore it conducts electricity.

Electricity can be conducted only with presence of free ions. Solid NaCl has no free ions. Hence it does not conduct electricity but solution of NaCl has free ions which helps conduct electricity.
