Answer:

Rather, information is stored in microchips. Conversely, a hard disk drive uses a mechanical arm with a read/write head to move around and read information from the right location on a storage platter. This difference is what makes SSD speed so much faster.

Answer:

SSDs or also known as Solid State Drives are considered to be faster in data retrieval and seeking time because they use electrical circuity and no moving physical parts. This leads to shorter wait times when we are starting up and fewer delays when opening apps or doing any kind of heavy computing tasks. These are considered to be more durable, quieter and consume less energy. SSDs use flash memory while Hard Disk Drives or also known as HDDs are quite affordable and may offer easier data recovery in case of any damage or event but as long as the price is not an issue SSD’s come out on top and nowadays the modern SSDs are quite reliable and durable as compared to existing HDD’s.
