why solubility of the solute in water decrease with the decrease in temperature

I think it occurs because when we decrease the temperature and increase pressure on water it's particles start to come together and very less intermolecular space is left between the particles of water due to this the solubility of solute decreases in the water and as we would increase the pressure and decrease the temperature the solubility of solute also decreased.
