Why solutions of alcohol (C2H5OH) do not show acidic characters?

Answer:Solutions like this get ionised in aqueous solutions and due to the presence of H+ ions they show acidic characters. While solutions of compounds like alcohol and glucose do not form any such ions so they do not show acidic character

The Solution of alcohol do not show the acidic character:

1) If a solution is acidic, then it has the tendency to release the H⁺ Ions which show the acidic character in the aqueous solution.

2) The aqueous solution of alcohol (C₂H₅OH) won't release any H⁺ ions so that's why this does not show any acidic character when this mixed with water.
