Why solutions of alcohol (C2H5OH) do not show acidic character.​

The Solution of alcohol do not show the acidic character:

1) If a solution is acidic, then it has the tendency to release the H⁺ Ions which show the acidic character in the aqueous solution.

2) The aqueous solution of alcohol (C₂H₅OH) won't release any H⁺ ions so that's why this does not show any acidic character.
