Some fibres are called synthetic because they are obtained by man made procedures. For example fibres such as rayon, nylon, polyester etc are obtained by chemicals in the factories.Whereas fibres such as cotton are obtained from cotton plant which is a natural form. That makes the difference between a natural and synthetic fibre.
