Some societies disagreed to the measures taken by the Britishers as many of them were provoking the heritage and cultural practices of the Indians
Many communities in India felt that their dignity was of utmost preference and thus did not welcome such ideas
The British officials had a common habit of harassing and making fun of the Indians so this angered the higher sections of societies (caste systems still prevailed at that time!)
The British East India company has already affected the people by means of economical and living conditions!
