HIYA MATEY !!

sp3d4 hybridisation can be formed.

⇒sp3d4 hybridisation is a very rare type of hybridisation.

⇒sp3d4 hybridisation (Steric Number 8) will mean that the central metal atom is bonded to 8 other atoms and only in rare cases the oxidation number goes beyond +7. Eg. Os.

⇒They give rise to Archimedes antiprismatic structures which is really complex. Their geometries can be square antiprismatic, dodechedral, bicapped Trigonal prismatic, hexagonal bipyramidal.

WISH IT HELPS :)
