Answer:

as the universe is very large and it's not possible for sunlight to reach there

karamel: Light will travel in a straight line, until it hits something. Once the light hits and bounces off of an object, it is the atmosphere that allows the ‘scattering’ and the ability to see colors in the spectrum that our eyes see. The surrounded ‘space’ appears black because there isn’t a strong enough atmosphere to cause the ‘scattering’.

Answer:

So, this question is related to cosmology.

First thing is that, the space is tooo much big, much bigger than our imagination and that is getting bigger every millisecond and will expand forever (no one knows, till what time!).

But, there are many stars in the space which emits light and are endless in number (in cosmology, almost

everything is uncountable!). But, there are many black holes in the space (which are died stars). Black holes takes the light inside it, means that light can't even escape black holes!.

Also, because the space is expanding the space is dark even though there are numerous stars in the space.

Hope you liked my answer.
