Why space shuttle not melt by UV RAYS, when goes in space?

The space shuttles have a protective layer of hydrogenerated boron nitride nanotubes, known as hydrogenerated BNNTs. Boron is an excellent absorbent of secondary neutrons, thus the BNNTs act as a shield from the harmful radiations of the sun, like gamma and UV radiations.
