Having a good command of English helps us to have more opportunities in life, first of all, our career. English is the language of international communication in all areas, such as politics, science, media or art. The language of technology (the computers, the iPhones) is also written in English.  We cannot translate everything because it will be too expensive and first of all because it takes time. If I want to be well informed, up to date and modern, I have to speak the language of modernity.
