why speed of a vehicle is not always not uniform in roads

roads consist of curves, gutters, etc. Thus not allowing the vehicle to maintain a constant speed.Also it can be explained as due to a change in the frictional surface of the road..

Being a negative force friction of road slows down the velocity of the vehicle by decreasing the magnitude of force applied on the road to maintain velocity also the curves and hurdles increase the friction
