Yes very much so. You may be “titrating” for a number of reasons. Let's assume your attempting to determine the concentration of the NaOH. You may determine this by use of an indicator, from which you can determine the equivalence point. Getting to that equivalence point by adding an amount of HCl of knownconcentration will be the only way you can determine the concentration of NaOH concentration.
