Answer:

Heya mate ✨

ur answer....

Stars twinkle, while planets (usually) shine steadily. Why? Stars twinkle because … they're so far away from Earth that, even through large telescopes, they appear only as pinpoints. And it's easy for Earth's atmosphere to disturb the pinpoint light of a star.

Answer:

Star twinkle due to the following reasons

  • they are very far from us thus the behave as a point source of light.
  • the physical condition of Earth atmosphere is nconstant and stationary thus the light comes from star appears to come from different direction
  • this results in fluctuation of apparent position of stars..
  • the amount of light from star the reaches to our eye is also varies due to changing refractive index of earth's atmosphere
  • the star appears bright when more light reaches to our eye and the same star appears dull when less light reaches to our eyes
  • these both effects result in twinkling of light

Planet do not twinkle because they are so close to Earth and thus considered as extended source. If we consider planet as a collection of points size source of light then the total variation of amount of light entering in our eyes will average out to zero. Thereby nullifying the twinkling effect
