Stars do not appear during rain because if it rains it means that there are clouds above you.And the clouds prevent the light from the stars getting to you. That's why you cant see them.
During rainy season we can't see sunlight too. When the clouds had gone only then we see sunlight.
not the sun just light we can see
Because sunshine is very bright and clouds can't stop all the sunlight.
It is because sun is very close to us.
But stars are less brighter because they are very far and clouds are able to stop their light.
