Stars are not visible during the sunlit hours of daytime because the light - scattering properties of our atmosphere spread sunlight across the sky.

Stars dp glow during the day but we can't see them because of glare of sunlight .When the sun is up ,the blue colour in sunlight gets scattered all over the atmosphere , turning the sky familiar bright blue colour .
