why stars twinkle ? can u reply fast 2morrorow exam

it is because that Stars are far away from us and when the light from stars travels to the earth it gets refracted by different layers in the atmosphere due to the variation in the density of each layer. So when one observes a star from the earth due to these refractions it appears to be twinkling.
