Why subtract the 2 value it's coming positive value?

(-2) × (-2) = 4

-2 + -2 = -2 - 2 = -4

We know that

( - ) × ( - ) ===> +

( + ) × ( + ) ===> +

( - ) × ( + ) ===> -

( + ) × ( - ) ===> -

But in substration and addition there would be changes in answer .

if in addition both numbers are with negative ( - ) sign then it would become positive ( + ) .

But in substraction

eg:- +2 - ( +2 ) = +2 - 2 = 0

But in addition

eg:- +2 + ( +2) = +2 + 2 = 4
