↘Reasons to use sucrose solution for calibration of polarimeter :
❤Sucrose is a disaccharide, mixture of both glucose and fructose has a fixed rotation value which can calibrated with 10%, 20% and 30% sugar value, and remains constant for those
concentration for a little time only, upto that we can have a very sharp reading calibration of pure sugar.
❤It is Very Easily prepared, most cheap at cost

POLARIMETRY BASICALLY MEASURES THE ANGLE OF ROTATION OF POLARIZED TRANSVERSE WAVES
( ELECTROMAGNETIC,LIGHT) - OR POLARIZATION - AS IT PASSES THROUGH AN OPTICALLY ACTIVE FLUID SUCH AS SUCROSE WHICH IS NEARLY IDEAL SUGAR FOR TESTING AND CALIBRATION. THAT'S WHY SUCROSE SOLUTION IS USED FOR CALIBRATION OF POLARIMETER.
