why sugar do not dissolve in oil but dissolve in water​

The polar water molecules attract the negative and positive areas on the polar sucrose molecules which makes sucrose dissolve in water. A nonpolar substance like mineral oil does not dissolve a polar substance like sucrose.

because it may happen that in oil there is not so enough space so that the particles of sugar may not distribute and get its place into the space but in water there is very much enough places which provide space for the sugar particles to get dissolve in it
