Sugar industries are located near the raw materials which are sugar canes because sugar cannot be stored for long.
If they are kept for a long time before they are processed in the raw form that is, the sucrose content of the cane decreases and they get dried up.
As a result, the industries are very close to where the raw materials are grown.

After harvesting, the sugarcane has to be taken quickly for processing because the sugar content deteriorates quickly.
